Big Crowd! Big Malts! Big Brews!
Sharing the evening with good friends is always first and foremost. Even better when we share these wonderful single malts & brews. A big welcome to Leslie and Mary and their first tasting.
Tomintoul Olorosso Sherry Cask 12yr 40% abv
Speyside
Nose: Big sherried & sweet hit, malty, citrus
Palate: Gentle, smooth, sweet & creamy
Finish: Bit nutty with a late spice hit, medium
Bruichladdich Bourbon 16yr 46% abv
Islay
Nose: Wonderfully sweet, bit of malt, tails off with vanilla hints
Palate: Nice bourbon hit , orange peel, late oak notes
Finish: Spicey & warming, medium long
Glenmorangie Signet nas 46%
Highland
Nose: Sherried with orange and dried fruit
Palate: Very rounded and depth of flavor with a follow through from the nose with late chocolate notes
Finish: Spicey & long
Comment: Not a typical Glenmorangie with a very intense palate and bigger finish
Mannochmore 1990 18yr 54.9%
Speyside
Nose: Intense sherry, malty, with dried fruit
Palate: Fruit cake, dark dried fruit, spicy & dense
Finish: Long & warming, oaky
Ardbeg Corryvreckan nas 57.1% abv
Islay
Nose: Peat, fruity, orange, late barley
Palate: Chewy and sublime, sweet and fruity, late smoke
Finish: Long, peat & spice, bit salty on the tail
Comment: A winner!
Port Charlotte PC8 8yr 60.5%
Islay
Nose: Peat/burnt offering
Palate: Powerful full peat explosion
Finish: Satifiying and long, leaves you wanting more
Comment: Great stuff, except not up to the PC6 or PC7.

Long Trail “Winter White” Belgian Style Witbier
7.2% abv
Malt beverage brewed with sweet orange, bitter orange, and coriander
Vermont
Nose: Fruity with orange notes
Palate: Sweet, citrus, orange peel bitterness on the tail
Finish: Mild medium finish with the bitter orange notes again
Bateman’s “Combined Harvest” Multigrain Beer no abv listed
England - Gold Medal International Beer Award
Nose: Pale
Palate: Similar to a light lager, no distinctive flavors
Finish: None
Southern Tier “Choklat” Stout 11% abv
Vermont
Nose: Chocolate, raspberry
Palate: Fresh broken dark chocolate, orange
Finish: Hoppy, bitter chocolate, orange notes
Comment: A great dessert brew. Perfect with cheesecake!
Laughing Dog Brewing Co. “The Dogfather” Imperial Stout no abv listed
Idaho
Nose: Dark roasted malt
Palate: Coffee, dark chocolate
Finish: Short
Sam Smith “Yorkshire Stingo” 8% abv
Bottled conditioned ale. Aged in oak ale casks
England
Nose: Malt, barley
Palate: Typical Sam Smith, full-bodied and malty
Finish: Short with some oak on the tail
Dogfish Head “World Wide Stout” 18% abv
A very dark beer brewed with a ridiculous amount of barley
Nose: Barley
Palate: Barley
Finish: Barley
Comment: A real sipper, not for the faint at heart.
